Disable Closed Caption Processing

Do you get fed up seeing that progress bar that says its reading the closed captions

If you do not use them or do not want to see that option again then do the following…

Go into the hidden “internal” menu in preferences.

Hold shift when selecting preferences and there will be an extra tab labelled “internal”

In the search box type Closed Only one item should now be in the list.

Right at the bottom there is an option “Enable scanning for closed caption” Change the value from TRUE to FALSE and then click apply.

I would restart Vegas just to be sure it has taken hold

There is a lot of other interesting stuff in there so be very, very careful.
However if you failed to take heed of my warning and you have messed it up.

When you fire up Vegas hold the Shift key and it will reset everything to default settings
